Last summer, several European telecom operators (Telefónica, Orange, Vodafone and Deutsche Telekom) wrote to Brussels calling on EU regulators to ban Apple’s iCloud Private Relay, a VPN-like service introduced on iOS 15 — and now available on upgraded iPhones — that protects users’ internet privacy by routing traffic through multiple servers.
