I know smartphones are pretty straightforward to use, but this is not about learning how to use a smartphone. This is about learning how to search for relevant information, how to manage multiple sources of information, and how to validate information. If kids use only one source of information (the textbook) they will never learn how to deal with misinformation and disinformation. This is not about the technology itself, but its effects.
